year 9 science

Today in science we did a experiment where you put one or two crystals in some water but be careful the the crystal water touches your hand it will leave a brown mark where it landed. it landed on my hand and my clothes. The one on the hand is from me touching it and the one on my clothes is from one idiot that got a syringe can sprayed it on me.

The behaviour of matter-diffusion
When gas particles, like the perfumes in a can of deodorant, are released into a room they are free to move in any direction. Eventually, they will spread throughout the entire room. Scientists called this process diffusion.

Scientist state that diffusion is the movement of particles from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration, until the concentration is equal.

Aim: to observe diffusion in a liquid.
Equipment: Petri dish with cold tap water
Method: half fill your petri dish with cold water.
